Noble Fir (Abies Procera / Abies Nobilis) - Beautiful shape and blue/green colour

Considered to be one of the most handsome trees, with its lovely blue/green foliage and pleasant fragrance, Noble fir has good needle holding properties. It is often a popular choice because of the more open branching and great shape - ideal for showing off larger decorations. It can display all the characteristics of the perfect Christmas tree but is however, notoriously difficult to grow!

    CARING FOR YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE

For best results, please ensure the following:

    > Once home, roughen up the end or cut a thin slither off the base of your tree to expose fresh-cut surface (this allows your tree to take up water). Place your tree in a bucket of water for a long drink, this will pump up the needles for a fuller looking tree and help to reduce needle drop. All our trees come pre-drilled to accommodate a stand straight stand/pin stand. Please remember! If you are using a stand straight/pin stand the amount you remove from the base of your tree should be kept to a minimum to ensure the hole is deep enough to hold your tree securely on the spike, we recommend that you roughen up the end rather than cutting any off.

    > We recommend that you store your Christmas tree in a cool, frost-free place until required. Your Christmas Tree will look it’s best for 10-14 days, needle drop is inevitable once the tree has been inside for this amount of time, so plan your Christmas and New Year festivities with this in mind.

    > When you bring your tree into your home, use a reservoir type tree stand, this is the most effective way to maintain the freshness of your tree.

    > Check the stand daily to make sure that the level of water does not fall below the base of the tree. With many stands, there can still be water in the stand even though the base of the tree is no longer submerged in water.

    > When positioning your tree, keep away from sources of heat e.g. fireplaces, radiators or direct sunlight. Lowering the room temperature will slow the drying process, resulting in less water consumption each day.
